A matchmaking event is a quick and easy way to meet potential cooperation partners. People meet and greet at high speed. 30 minutes are usually enough to build connections, then the bell rings and the next talk starts.
Do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you need help with your online registration/ your profile/ your meetings selection.
The workflow in detail
1) Online registration
Register online and submit your own cooperation profile.
In your profile you can state what kind of technology/product/expertise you are offering, what kind of cooperation you are looking for and which ideas you would like to discuss with potential collaboration partners.
Note: The better the quality of your profile the more meeting requests you will receive. Your business proposal is your business card, therefore spend some minutes to insert a high quality and meaningful profile.
2) Promotion of published profiles
All cooperation profiles will be published online and will be for everyone to see. You can change your profile any time. All published profiles will be extensively promoted by the organisers of this event.
3) Book B2B-meetings and accept meetings requests
E-mail notification You will be informed by e-mail when you can start booking bilateral meetings. Check which cooperation profiles are most promising. Intelligent search options allow a quick identification of the most suitable participants/cooperation profiles. Within a few minutes you should be able to identify future potential business partners.
Booking of bilateral meetings Once you have found the most promising business partners you can mark and select them for bilateral meetings. You can add further meetings any time but please be aware that the bookings are managed on the principle "first come - first served". You can book meetings BUT you can also be booked for bilateral talks by other participants!
Your personal meeting agenda Short before the event you will receive updates of your personal meeting agenda (furthermore you can constantly check your meeting schedule online or via the b2match-App). This meeting schedule gives information about the time, the number of the table or the booth number and who you are going to meet.
We recommend downloading the b2match app so you always have your updated meeting schedule at hand.
Download the b2match-App (Available for Android and iOS).
Confirm your participation In case you have meetings the organizer needs to be sure that you will attend the event. Therefore, please confirm or cancel your participation once you are asked to confirm. Otherwise the event organizer has to inform all your meeting partners that meetings are/could be uncertain. This causes additional work and makes the event less reliable.
4) At the event
Our staff will be at your disposal during the whole matchmaking event.
How to initiate an on-site or virtual meeting?
- Identify promising participants on the Participants list or the Marketplace page on the event's website. Once you found a suitable meeting partner, click "Request meeting" to send them a meeting request.
- Use the Messages functionality to chat about common interests and availability.
- Click "View Profile →" to find out more about the participant
- If you would like to have a meeting with them, you can also request a meeting here.
- Check My agenda and Meetings for your schedule and your list of confirmed meetings.
- At the time of the meeting, go to the Meetings page and click on Start Meeting
- You can invite guests through the Invite guests button, or share your screen through the screen sharing button
- A virtual meeting can be started at any given time before its ending time and it won't stop automatically, one of the participants has to end it
- The remaining time will be displayed on the top left corner
- The next meeting card will be displayed with one minute before the next meeting
- Clicking on Start Next Meeting will end the current meeting and will start the next one
Technical requirements for virtual meetings
The virtual meetings take place through the b2match video tool, which is integrated in the b2match platform and it doesn’t need to/it can't be downloaded.
- install the latest version of your browser
Use a device with an incorporated webcam or a webcam. Without the camera, the meeting can still take place in the audio mode.
Microphone and camera
You can test your microphone and camera in your Meetings list, once you are logged in to your b2match profile. In order to do this, you need to click the blue Camera and microphone test and follow the instructions.
If there are issues, the system will indicate the browser's documentation's regarding the microphone and camera usage
- browser's permissions to use the microphone and camera
- system's permissions for the microphone and camera
Additionally, you can do the following checks:
- test your microphone with other apps, such as Google Meet, Skype, Zoom, etc.
- run Twilio's network test, which will start an automatic diagnosis to check if Twilio has permission to use your microphone and camera
- Twilio is the name of the software we use for online meetings
